The mango fruit, often hailed as the "king of fruits," has its origins in South Asia, specifically in the region encompassing present-day India, Myanmar, and Bangladesh. Cultivated for over 4,000 years, mangoes have a deep cultural and religious significance in many South Asian societies, symbolizing love, prosperity, and fertility.

The fruit was spread throughout the world by Persian traders, Portuguese explorers, and later by European colonizers, eventually reaching the tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Today, mangoes are cherished globally for their sweet, juicy flesh and vibrant flavor, making them a staple in both traditional and modern cuisines.
